Once upon a time, I called this site "An At Home with Laurie Alice Eakes" and followed a Regency theme. It was fun, creative, and ... limiting.

Regency and Georgian England are still my first loves for time periods in which to write. Indeed, my first hardcover book, Family Guardian, is a Regency novel. I am, however, branching into other genres and time periods; therefore, the solely Regency theme no longer works. On the Reviews page, you will find information, reviews, and excerpts of my published works.

Another project I have taken on is my blog, Seize the Chance. Here, you will find more excerpts from my works, my opinion on various subjects, and, upon occasion, contests.

Because author bios are generally short and uninformative, I have gathered many of the questions I get asked in interviews and daily life and answered them on the About the Author page. Email Me if you'd like to contact me directly.
